Thank you. Currently, my mate is seeing a psychologist that is working quite well for him, and he's been considering giving me a referral to another psychiatrist in the same facility. It's in Seattle, which is an unpleasant trek from Redmond, but time-permitting, it may be a viable option.

I agree with the books. I tend to bloviate, which doesn't help me whatsoever. I do need to spend some time retraining myself to speak and assert myself in ways that are better understood, in fewer words.
