It's a relatively large area, considering what I've seen. I need to confirm, but I'm fairly sure that only includes the living area, ignoring the one car garage (a private garage and workshop!) and stairwell. The space itself is quite livable!
Tolls on the bridges around here in CA are similar, $5 in one direction only on each bridge. ($6 during some peak commute hours on one of the bridges. Toll revenues push half a billion dollars a year here.) I'm used to tolling on Florida's Turnpike at $1.50 + $0.50 per additional axle. $3.50 both ways for just single-occupancy vehicles surprises me and offers an excellent incentive to ride the bus to work.
Overall, I'm pleased. It'll be an interesting and fun change of pace!
