I have many years that were dumped into Ultima Online (which still has the best progression system, IMHO), as well as LJ, eventually here, and Paradice. Usually you're not terribly active there, but I figure that if you want to step out a bit and strut (or just post), I can send you a message/email/thing with a link to those forums.
As far as I go, there are a couple of communities that I'm a part of, but I'm often sidelined too. Part of it is because I'm not as stable as you, and my stability and memory are worsening with the more stress I try to bear. That and nothing holds my attention for more than 4-6 months these days.
Anyway, one such example is that I'm everybody's friend (just about) in the inflatables community, yet the most anybody wants to do with me is talk about inflatables. They have no interest in going further with it (save one), and that one tends to spin me up psychologically because of his high energy and maintenance requirements. You've met who I'm talking about - even if I don't mention his name here.
Sorry for writing a whole book... but I've just not found a home or community that I'm a deep part of except for my guild in UO, and I won't be back to that game until I have a more modern Windows computer to work with. Otherwise, IRC and forums are what I'm in.
