I have much empathy here. I've suffered from depression and anxiety for much of my life, with similar patterns of behavior and a similar desire to rebuild and just... be.
I'm not sure, qualitatively speaking, if I had an easier or harder time of it. I'm just thankful that, now, my quiet pleas for help are being listened to.
As for visiting: I would like that very much. I suspect my housemates would heartily agree. I will definitely ask.
